Reinterpretation of Rio de Janeiro
Located in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, this 65m² apartment has undergone a transformation that combines functionality with the classic Rio style. The old property, with outdated electrical and plumbing systems, had a layout that did not meet the needs of the owners, who use the space as a vacation home and seasonal rental for up to 10 people.
Smart Interventions for Contemporary Use
We organized the layout to optimize the spaces: a bathroom was created in place of the old kitchen, the bedrooms were redistributed and the dining room was integrated into the linear kitchen, promoting a practical and inviting social area. All electrical and plumbing installations were modernized to support contemporary equipment, ensuring comfort and safety.
Practicality with the Carioca Soul
The project sought to translate the essence of the Rio lifestyle, balancing charm and functionality. Each choice of material, finish and architectural solution was designed to offer a practical, welcoming experience that is connected with the local identity, reflecting the unique personality of the property and its residents.
